BEFORE YOU COMMIT TO FOSTERING A PET, PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION

Fostering pets requires a commitment to take care of the pet until adopted. Once you commit to fostering a pet for C.A.R.E., it will be your responsibility to foster until the pet is adopted. If circumstances arrive that you can no longer foster, we ask that you provide a two week notice. We do not have a back-up foster home for pets in foster care so please e sure you can fulfill the responsibility before consenting to foster. We use Roxboro Animal Hospital and Quail Roost Animal Hospital as our vet, and you will be responsible for taking your foster pet to and from vet appointments We can “occasionally” help with vet appointments if there is a conflict with schedule due to work hours.

All personal pets must be spayed/neutered, current on vaccinations, heartworm prevention, and flea and tick prevention.

C.A.R.E. will cover all vet expenses; provide dog food, crates, collars, and leashes. However, if you would like to contribute to the expense of caring for your foster pet, CARE will provide a tax deductible receipt with sales receipt purchase.

FOSTER DOGS “OF AGE” MUST WEAR THEIR RABIES TAG AT ALL TIMES.

Foster dogs are allowed outside off leash with supervision only, or if you have a fenced in yard.

Foster parents must contact Rhonda Beach, rhonda4care@gmail.com to schedule vet appointments for their foster pet.

Fostering is the core to saving lives. Remember, we can’t save lives without foster homes. The rewards are endless and you play a huge role in giving life to a homeless, abandoned pet.

We hope you will consider being a part of our mission, “Saving one pet won’t change the world, but, surely, the world will change for that pet….

FOSTERING FOR CARE

Chances Angel Rescue is in need of foster parents year round! In addition to rescuing animals that are homeless, needy, and abandoned, we also rescue many animals from the high kill shelters.

These PRECIOUS animals are placed into temporary homes so they can receive the veterinary care, socialization, love and nourishment while waiting to find their forever home. We accept only dogs that are capable to live in a multi-dog household, (they must be dog friendly)

What are the requirements?

  • Complete foster application and we do a home visit.
  • All current personal dogs must be spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and heart worm prevention.
  • Be willing to care and provide a safe, nurturing home until the dog is placed.
  • Taking foster dog to and from vet appointments. We use Roxboro Animal Hospital located at 585 Patterson Drive, Roxboro, NC
  • Allowing your foster pet to be a temporary part of your family, crate training and/or house training, administering medication as needed
  • Providing pictures and bio for your foster dog. We have a volunteer that will take pictures if needed.

How long do you normally foster the dog?

  • Most dogs are usually placed within 2-4 weeks, however sometimes it may take longer, depending on the health status of the dog you are fostering

What are the expenses?

Chances Angel Rescue covers the expenses needed to care for the foster animals. This includes all vet care, food, and crates when available. However, any of the materials that you can provide will help offset costs and will go a long way to saving more animals. We are a 501c3 organization and will provide tax deductible recei ts for expenses incurred, if any.

Saving one dog won’t change the world; but surely it will change the world for that one dog……..
