There are several ways you can help us, and you can spend as much or as little time as you want doing so. We just appreciate anything anyone can do!
The number one thing we usually need is foster homes; typically our foster requirements are 2-4 weeks only, and you know up front if it will be a short term foster. We post on our face book volunteer group when we want to pull a dog from the shelter, and will usually have a picture along with any information available. We fully support our foster homes so there will be no expense to anyone. You only provide a temporary home and a little time.
We have some volunteers that when they are not available to foster, will transport the dog to and from the vet office when they are neutered or spayed, and sometimes if a foster cannot take their dog to a flight transport ( at Person County Airport ), a volunteer will do that as well.
Some volunteers help with fundraising efforts; they help us sell or market what our current fundraiser is.
Most of this information will be posted on our volunteer face book page, so as things happen, you can decide if you want to help with that particular thing, and can let us know how and when you’d like to participate.
Again, there is no pressure; you just plug in when it works for you!
